Direct Current-DC Current

It is the Uni Directional Flow of Electric Current. It was previously called as galvanic current.

It can be produced through batteries or solar cells. In this electric current flows in a constant direct different from AC Current .

By use of rectifiers we can get dc current from an ac current. Direct Current is used as power supply in electronic products and also for charging batteries. Alternating Current has advantage over Direct Current in transmission and transformation hence we are supplied at our home with AC Current rather than DC Current by Electronic Power Plants. Most of fuel cells and automotive applications use only DC current
