Connector
N connector is used to
connect coaxial cables. It was invented in 1940 by Paul
Neill of Bell Lab. It can carry signals up to 11Ghz.Type N
connector have male and female versions. The male
connector is hand-tightened This type of connectors are
generally used in military applications, The 50 ohm
version is mostly used in the communications of paging and
cellular based systems
The 7/16 series name drives
from the metric dimensions of the
connector interface:
7mm OD of inner contact, 16 mm ID of outer contact
