BAUD RATE
The baud rate gives us the number of
distinct signals in a second. It was named after French
man Baudot. In a binary transmission it is bits per
seconds (BPS)-the number of binary digits transmitted in
a second. Both the baud rate and BPS refer to rate at
which bits within single frame are sent. The rates of
BPS are generally in series
110,150,300,600,1200,2400,4800,9600, and 19200.The most
common rates for modem communications are 1200 and 2400.
